Kasagi Sight-Seeing Navigation No.21(Explanation Of Hiking Courses)

◇Kizugawa Oudan (Crossing The Kizu River) Course◇

<one way: 4km, 60 minutes>

   This is a course passing through Asukaji-Chiku and crossing the Kizu River, reaching the opposite bank.  The bridge spanning the Kizu River on this course is called “Senbotsu-Kyo”, which means “Sinking Bridge.”  This bridge is very rare because it is designed to submerge during heavy rainfall.

   From the opposite bank, you will go on a narrow path lined with old private houses.  On the way, you can see Homyo Temple, which has a thatched roof.
